"Hey! You guys wanna party? Then let's party! LET'S PARTY HARD!!!!"

At first, I did this simply as a joke. But on the way back to my apartment, I started really thinking about it.
And it makes sense when you think about it.

When Pinkie was corrupted by Discord, she acted a lot like Shadow; Angry, surly, and disinterested in anything other than herself. Also, remember how she acted when she thought her friends no longer wanted to be with her in Party of One? All psychosis aside, she was angry to downright aggressive to the others. So, I think that that is the connection between the two. They're polar opposites. Pinkie Pie is the laughter that Shadow no longer has( Or probably still does that is buried deeply inside of him, behind that wall of his.) And Shadow is the...well, the fragility that Pinkie Pie has. He is her on a bad day. Hence, the connection. Pinkie touches on the happiness that Shadow yearns for, and Shadow in return reminds her that there are things to be happy about. See?

So to support my theory is that their fusion is different than the others. The fusion will have two forms; Shinkdow and Pankidie. (What?! Name fusion is harder to do! That one was the less-goofy sounding one!)

Shinkdow has Pinkie Pie as the dominant, which is the picture above.
Pankidie has Shadow as the dominant, and is a darker shade with Pinkie's straight hair.

We start out with Shinkdow in the beginning, and thanks to some.....kind of....power up---shoot, I dunno--- It splits into the two fusions for some Tag Team Action!! Yay!

As far as personality goes, Shinkdow is a happy-bordering-on-psycotic berserker, that love-love-loves battle! Thanks to that pocketspace/reality bending ability Pinkie pie has, Shinkdow can upgrade Shadow's arsenal to an unbelievably FUN level!! The Party Bazooka fires intense bolts of chaos energy and confetti. (Leaving quite a crater in its wake!) It makes the same noise as the Party Cannon as well, cause that's FUN! Now, throw in the Pinkie-Sense coupled with Chaos Control, and Shinkdow is practically impossible to hit! They get easily distracted tho...

Pankidie is the polar opposite of Shinkdow. Pankidie is aggression incarnate. With more use of chaos energy, Pankidie will storm up the battle field with lethal intensity. They are nearly everywhere at once with a brutal hail of physical blows and bolts of energy. Pankidie is physically stronger than Shinkdow, but doesn't possess all of the speed Shinkdow has. During tag team moments, Pankidie can throw Shinkdow over immense distances so they can reach enemies. Shinkdow can literally fire Pankidie out of the Party Bazooka, which leads to something close to a mushroom-cloud afterwards. Pankidie can't remain a separate form for very long, and will eventually fuse back into Shinkdow. ('Cause you need something sad so you can feel happy right? )
